Benefits of reusing existing Top performing content on YouTube

Updated: May 5, 2022

When it comes to content, everyone wants to share something new on their platform.

However, did you know that reusing existing top-performing content can be a great way to increase your reach and earn more views?

Yes! Reusing the content allows you to engage with the already existing audience of your platform. It's just like repurposing blog posts from your website and sharing them on other channels.

Many YouTube creators have tried reusing the content for their channels and have seen an increase in their video views and subscribers.

Here are some ways you can reuse your content on YouTube:

1. Update old videos

2. Use an old blog post or article as a video script

3. Create a how-to video series (or another type of series)

4. Record a podcast episode and make it into a video

In this post, we'll discuss how you can reuse your best performing content to increase your reach on YouTube.

What is meant by reusing existing top-performing content?

When we say reusing existing top-performing content, it means taking one of your videos (that has been performing well) and using it again on the same or different platforms. It is basically using the same video on multiple channels, at different time periods, or with a new description.

So why do people reuse existing top-performing content?

It's simple: You get a chance to engage with users who have already seen your video but may not be aware of all the other videos uploaded by you on your channel.

If you're a content creator on YouTube, you might be asking yourself: "Why would I want to reuse existing top-performing content on my channel?" The answer is simple: You can save time and energy by producing less original content and instead reusing or repurposing top-performing videos that have already been produced. And while this may seem counterintuitive to the idea of creating your own unique content, it actually makes more sense than you think.

In this article, we'll discuss how to reuse your top-performing content on YouTube so that you can spend more time creating new videos for your audience.

It gives viewers who missed out the first time round another opportunity to watch something they might have missed when it was first released.

Being a YouTube content creator, you're always looking for ways to improve your channel and produce the best, most relevant videos for your audience. One way I've found to do that is by reusing my existing top-performing content, both in ranking and in engagement, by repurposing it into new videos. This way, I'm able to provide more value to my viewers without having to come up with new ideas and create new content every time.

Here's how it works: You look through your channel analytics and find the videos that are performing really well in terms of views, engagement and watch time. Once you've identified a particular video or two, go back and analyze them even further. Look at the comments—what's resonating with viewers? What are they saying? Are they asking a lot of questions about this particular topic? If so, then there's an opportunity here for a follow-up video where you answer all those questions.

Another way to approach this is through more keyword research. Go back to the topic of that original video and try to figure out what else people are searching for on YouTube around that topic. That way, you can tackle another aspect of the same subject matter but from a different angle or perspective.

Consider this example

When you think about video marketing, YouTube is probably the first thing that comes to mind. It's the second-largest search engine in the world (behind Google), and it's owned by Google, so if you want to rank higher in search results, a YouTube presence is crucial. The question is: How do you get more traffic back to your website from YouTube?

The answer: reuse existing top-performing content!

The best way to do this is to take your top-performing blog posts and repurpose them into a video format that you can use on YouTube. This may sound like a lot of work but it doesn't have to be. You can easily create professional videos using popular online tools such as Powtoon, Moovly or Animoto, among others. But before you start creating your videos, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

1) Choose your top-performing blog posts: Your goal here is to find out which of your blog posts are getting the most traffic and why they're performing well.

You should be able to see this in your analytics dashboard or using a tool like Ahrefs or BuzzSumo.

Once you have this information, make note of what keywords they're ranking for and what content is not working at all.

There are a lot of reasons to reuse content on youtube. For starters, it's a great way to capitalize on the content that was already successful and engaging.

Why not do it again? Not only can you make money off of the video itself, but you can also use the video as a platform for self-promotion.

For example, let's say you make an informative video on how to fix a leaky faucet. That video becomes popular and you end up being viewed by thousands of people who want to know how to do this.

After they watch your video, they will probably subscribe to you or follow you on social media so that they don't miss out when you post something else.

This creates loyal followers who will be more likely to watch your videos or join your community in the future. Another reason why it might be beneficial for you to reuse existing content is if there are parts of the original video that could be better or updated.

Maybe there was a mistake in one segment that kept people from fully understanding it, and now you have figured out what went wrong or have an even better explanation for it?

A lot of content creators believe in creating new content from scratch without reusing or recycling existing content. This is wrong.

The trend has shifted and YouTube is all about variety. Reusing existing content is a key to success on YouTube. I will tell you how a lot of people make money on YouTube by reusing other people's content, and how you can do the same.

Also, when you're looking for content to reuse, look up your own channel. You can go to your analytics and see what's performing better, what's getting more views, what's getting more likes, and what's getting more comments. Find the hottest videos on your channel and start the process of reusing them because those videos already have an audience and they already have momentum going on with them.

So that was it for this video guys, I hope you got some value from this article. If you did please subscribe to my channel, like this video and share it with your friends so that they can also benefit from it. That would really mean a lot to me and would help me grow as a creator!
